A heart for the lost  /  A heart for worship  /  A heart for connection

In 1999 a dream for River Run Christian Church became a reality at our first service at Partin Elementary School. We quickly outgrew that facility and moved to Lawton Chiles Middle School. When Lawton Chiles Middle School transitioned to Haggerty High School — we became homeless. This presented a challenge with a short “one-year window” to build and quickly relocate. In 2005 we moved to our current property. The original phase was to build a temporary “multi-use” gymnasium while starting a capital campaign to build a multi-million-dollar worship center. Due to many different factors, including the Great Recession, we are still meeting in our gymnasium space twelve years later.

During this time, our leaders recognized that we needed to establish strong foundations in other ministry areas before tackling a building project. As a result, we spent several years accomplishing the following: creating 5 & 10 year plans, becoming financially healthy, establishing a new spiritual discipleship & leadership development process, taking care of community needs, making global impact in missions, and taking care of our student & children’s ministry needs.

Now, we need to have a Heart for Our House. We believe we have been wise stewards of God’s resources and ministering to our community inside our culture. We want to maximize the full potential of our current space before spending resources on a new facility. We also want to accomplish this without incurring debt.

Sundays are no longer a sacred day to our culture. By maximizing our current space to hold worship services on multiple days and times, we are better able to reach our culture. The goal is to improve our environments to allow better connection spaces and more engaging worship.

We want to align our environment to better achieve our mission.
Goal

$250,000

Please pray about making your largest one time offering on March 4, 2018 and then making a one year commitment above and beyond your normal tithes and offerings for the Heart for the House Project.  We always like to say that we aren’t asking for everyone to give equal gifts but we do pray that our entire body will give an equal sacrifice.  Fill out this commitment card and give in one of the ways below…
